I made them for my husband, who especially likes egg custards. He liked them a lot.

I found the recipe instructions a little confusing. Watching the video (on blog) is helpful. After rolling out the pastry gets rolled into a log and sliced like icebox cookies. This was not how I interpreted this and only saw my error when watching the video. Also, I think could be more descriptive in when they are done. Mine took about 40 minutes, they should be browned in spots.
