In response to clswiecz, I make a version of this cake (we call it Watergate cake, for some reason) and top it with this:
•	2 packages Dream Whip whipped topping mix
•	1 small (3.4 oz) box pistachio instant pudding
•	1½ cups milk

Beat together the Dream Whip and milk, then add pudding. It will thicken upon standing. Either frost the cake, or dollop on each piece as served. YUM!

Wow! This sounds so easy and delicious! What type of glaze or frosting would you suggest? Or is it more of a pound cake type where you don't need it?
