I made it for my mother-in-law’s birthday and she said it tasted just like the one her mother used to make. It’s incredibly moist with a great outer texture. Easy to make and it turns out so pretty! Smooth texture on the inside and a bit crispy and brown on the outside. It doesn’t seem quite as heavy as some of the others I have tried…this is my new pound cake recipe for good!
