I made the cake and it was so simple to do. I let the cake cool and then decided to make the frosting. I brought the butter, peanut butter and milk to a boil. The recipe said to add the powdered sugar and mix until combined. The frosting was so thick that I had to add a lot more milk. Should the recipe have called for 6 tablespoons of milk instead of 6 teaspoons?

My family Loves this cake! The only thing I done differently than the recipe is I cut the cooking time. I baked it for 15 minutes @ 400° instead of the 20 minutes the recipe calls for.
Extremely moist and delicious!!

This recipe for Peanut Butter Cake was excellent. I only made one adjustment. Instead of using stick butter I used stick light margarine for both the cake and icing. Came out a lot better than when I used the butter. Also when I added the powdered sugar I took the pan off of the burner.

I made this cake exactly as the recipe states. It was perfect. Regarding the frosting being dry - do not keep heating it as you add the powdered sugar. Remove from heat. The cup of peanut butter in the cake and the 1/2 cup in the frosting makes for perfect flavor. I took this to a family gathering and it was a huge hit - especially with the grandchildren and the men in the family. The serving indication says serves 24 but those are really big pieces. I was able to get 42 decent sized bars out of the pan.
