Made these for a potluck at work, and they were a HUGE hit! Since one of the girls was watching her sugar intake, I substituted 1 c. sugar and 3/4 c. Splenda, and they turned out great. (I’m not sure if it made them any “healthier,” but people sure didn’t have any trouble polishing them off!) Very moist and a delicious balance of salty and sweet. They’ve already requested that I make them again!

I halved this, and accidentally put in an extra egg and it STILL turned out delicious! Just more like cake than a brownie. We really loved these. No chocolate on top since we’re not huge chocolate fans, so it was just plain ol’ peanut butter “cake.” Delicious.

I made these exactly to recipe, following all the steps and something terribly wrong must have happened while in the over because they turned into a melted peanut-y sludge, that once cooled was (a tasty) mush but nothing like a cake/brownie texture I had expected.

These are FANTASTIC!!! We have an old family recipe for chocolate brownies that is very similar to this that my great grandmother came up with…they are like her brownies, except peanut butter! Made them for a picnic and everyone loved them! I didn’t put the chocolate on them though as a lot of the people that were going to be at the picnic hate chocolate (which I don’t understand! Who doesn’t like peanut butter and chocolate???) They are very dense and just sweet enough without an over powering peanut taste! perfect treat!
