I have done this now several times. This cookie is a bit of a pain, but it really does taste good.

Tips: it's crumbly no matter what. Get your hands in there and squeeze those balls. A cookie scoop is not going to work.
I've never made them one inch balls, only two inch. Maybe they are better smaller. I have a hard time eating cookies that small. ;) At two inches they take closer to 10 minutes. Then leave them on the hot cookie sheet for another 5 minutes. Otherwise they'll fall apart.
I like to top them with icing and crushed candy canes at the holidays. So good!

Yuuuumy!!!! I cut the recipe in half, but still added one egg...they turned out sooo good!! Perfect chewy consistency for ice cream cookie sandwiches. And the simple recipe makes it great for help from the kid cooks, too.

Easy to make but honestly, I'd choose Nutella on toast before making these again. The flavor and texture didn't wow me.

I had high hopes for these and really wanted to like them alot. I mean Nutella (delish) and only 2 other ingredients (simple)? What could be better? These cookies. Fairly bland, a little chalky in texture, not a strong Nutella flavor and looked nothing like the cookies pictured (did not spread). A bit disappointed. They'll be eaten and they aren't terrible but I won't waste Nutella or time on them again.

Mixed the Nutella, flour & egg omitting the sugar. Added 1 T. of water per reviews above. Rolled in granulated sugar and pressed with forks in crisscrosses. Baked on 350 for about 12 minutes. Served warm as ice cream sandwiches with vanilla ice cream and Sanders Hot Fudge poured over the top. Divine as prepared above. However, the cookie on its own (without the ice cream and hot fudge) was pretty bland.

My first batch was dry and crumbly, and I thought to myself, what makes a cookie better? Actually, what makes everything better? BUTTER!! So I added 2 tbs. softened butter to the second batch and MUAH! these cookies were UH-mazing. I thought about adding an egg--I might try that in a future batch. But I would recommend adding 1/4 cup softened butter to the recipe given here. And I would leave out the sugar completely. Nutella is plenty sweet!
