This pie is amazing! I made it for a family Christmas party and it was a huge hit. Not to mention it was so easy to make. I accidentally bought too small of an aluminum pie plate, so there was a ton of filling left over. I froze it to enjoy later on it's own and it was a great alternative to ice cream (not sure if it is any less fattening!). My husband loved the filling so much, he asked me to make just the filling to eat for dessert. Great recipe, thanks!

I make this pie, too, but my recipe calls for a regular pie crust and 1/4 cup chopped salted peanuts for garnish. SO good!!!

Just as an additional side note, I think that you could even reduce the sugar to 3/4, maybe 1/2 cup - the dessert was great but VERY sweet. I'm going to try 1/2 cup next time...

Just put two of these in the freezer to harden. Had regular pre-made graham crusts on hand, so I used those, and went with LITE whip topping. I plan to garnish with a sprinkle of peanuts and choc chips around the edge. I can already tell this is FABULOUS. So easy, perfect fifteen minute thing to whip up and be able to store for a day or two in the freezer :>)
