I made these for grandkids Easter baskets. I can't believe how good and easy they are. I made them a little bigger than 1" and got 2 dozen. I had lots of icing left. Great recipe!

I made these because I love loft house cookies. I took the cookies to a sweet heart dinner at church and was so happy when someone comes up to me says, "Did you make those cookies? They taste just like loft house and are really good." I was excited. I did slightly overcook the cookies which I felt took away drastically from the texture of the cookie.

The cookies are incredible!! I would advise rolling them into larger balls because a 1 inch ball yields a very small cookie. We like big cookies so I used approx. 1 1/2" to 2" ball and then flattened.

I made these for a church event, and was pleased that they were fast and easy to make...but I was disappointed when they didn't fly off the table when I put them out. Then someone finally tried one. After a few minutes the room was full of people asking "who brought the cookies with the blue frosting???!!!" Once word got around that the cookies were delicious and had "amazing" frosting, they did not last long! I've never had a lofthouse cookie from the store, and now that I've made this recipe, I know I never will, I'll just make my own!

These were perfect! I have made them twice. Once with the Dream Whip and once without. Both versions were really good. In case any one has problems finding the Dream Whip, I finally found it at The Wal Marts.

I don't know why people are in love with Lofthouse cookies because they have the nastiest aftertaste. Metallic or something... Anyway, they look so delicious that I wish I liked them, but this recipe solves that problem! I have a batch of frosting in the freezer just waiting for the perfect cookie. I'll definitely try this one soon.
