I felt something was missing, perhaps a richer chocolate flavor as others have noted. However, with vanilla ice cream, the dish tasted much better. I like the ease of preparation in comparison to traditional molten lava cake but I feel I’m missing the mouth feel from this dish that MLC offers with its addition of egg yolks. Interesting recipe and thank you for sharing.

It was hard to determine when the cake had set because of the nature of the cake. It was a little too sweet for me. I reheated it in our toaster oven ( conventional oven 350 for 15 minutes, slightly covered in foil ) and sprinkle a little bit of sea salt over it before putting it in. It was spot on! Serving it hot with cold vanilla ice cream is to die for!
