But next time I make them I will definitely cut back on the sugar a bit. And add more cinnamon too! My stepdad said these were the best apple dumplings he’s ever had. Quite the compliment! A Sgt asked me to bring them for his birthday (which I did) and as they were wolfing them down an Investigator reminded me that his birthday was March 29. The dough bakes up tender and delicious. And the apples turn it into a sweet and tart treat! You can even be wicked, like my dear mil, and serve it with a heaping side of ice cream.
