This got mixed reviews from the crowd. Some raved it was the best cake they’d ever had, others couldn’t even finish a single slice. I thought it was OK. In any case, there is still half a pan left over. Not a good sign for desserts.

I bake everyday. I dont recommend you make this in bulk. The results were not pretty. It rose over the pan and ran all over my oven. But, very good when you stick to one recipe at a time.

I made it for a work potluck. Huge hit!! It’s really rich, so making it in the sheet cake pan worked really well!! I love anything that sounds like it came out of an old church cookbook!

Wow made this for my husband to share with a group of friends and they have gone NUTS over it!!! I agree with Ree I may make it in my sheet cake pan next time though.
