Had this for Easter dinner and the 12 people present LOVED it. It took some time but it was worth it – just plan to start the different stages a couple days before you plan on eating it. I used a Pampered Chef trifle bowl and only needed half the cake. I also wanted more fruit so almost doubled it, adding sugar only and letting it macerate at room temp for several hours before assembling.
