This was an easy recipe to follow, although the prep time for me was closer to 25-30 minutes. Most of my time was taken with coring, peeling and chopping the apples. Smelled great while it was baking, and tasted great once it was out of the oven. Even better with vanilla ice cream melting on it!

Sounds wonderful! I have a bowl of apples that need to be used, so this will be their destiny tomorrow. I can't wait!

I tried this recipe the other night because I needed something (fast!) to take to a meeting for refreshments. It came out of the oven smelling fantastic and tasted even better. I used fresh nutmeg instead of jarred and I think the quantity could be cut in half to 1 tsp. There was a little left over and it was even better the next day because all the flavors had melded. and because of all the apples in it, it was very moist. Yummy!
