It was delicious! (disclaimer: we used all butter and skipped the shortening) The texture of this cake is light and very much like the fancy shortcake cups sold in stores. I’m so glad we didn’t have a box mix in the pantry. Next time we’re trying the blackberry topping to go along with it.
