You just made my day!! My great grandmother used to make these for us when we were little kids, they were my favorite! Unfortunately she passed away when i was still little and had no clue what were in those cookies but always remembered the vibrance of them. I had asked my parents about “those cookies” over the holidays but they didnt remember. Thank you for posting. Im going to have to make a gluten free version but these have definately brought back some great memories!
