I have 3 minutes left on baking time! I couldn’t resist making this. If the cake is as good as the glaze… (which tastes like one of my favorite candies, Sourpatch Kids!!) then it is going to be fabulous!

This cake was good. Texture is nice. I followed everything but I ran out of all purpose flour so had to use about 3/4 whole wheat. It turned out just a little darker. Next time I will use ALL all purpose flour and add MORE of the citrus juices (probably double them!)

I made this cake yesterday and it was WONDERFUL! The texture is nice and moist and the flavor is really good. The whole family loved it. This one will I will be making again.

I made this cake today and added more like 3 TBS of grapefruit and 3TBS of lime juice since I am a big fan of citrus deserts. The glaze seeping into the cake truly makes it yummy. My husband said it is the best cake I have ever made.

It turned out great actually. Just like you said, the batter looked a bit funky after I added the yogurt and juices, and then more normal once the flour was mixed in.

I also used lemon and lime juices/zests instead of grapefruit, just because I already had a lemon.

I think the glaze – and poking holes in the top so that it seeps into the rest of the cake instead of just lying on top – is what makes the cake really special.

Hey sarahvvv! How did it turn out?

To tell you the truth I’m not sure if it matters if you use a mixer or not. I guess it would depend on how much you mix it by hand. The batter does look a little funky due to the yogurt and the juice until you add the flour and then it should look pretty normal.

I have this yummy looking cake in the oven right now! Is it critical to use a mixer for this recipe (as opposed to beating/mixing by hand)? My dough looked a little bit off.
