I had the same problem as you! Except mines ok sweet, i used half of the butter and twice less of the brown sugar. But still gritty! So I don’t know what the problem was!

I wonder if I did something wrong because it did not taste good. I followed the recipe exactly, but there seemed to be far too much butter and sugar… it was gritty, too sweet, and, once refrigerated, rock hard. It seems as though others had great success with it, so I’m considering trying it again to see if I messed up along the way somehow.
