Best Brownies I have ever had... EVER! Not greasy like the box kinda, and soo easy to make! I added caramel ice cream topping to the top of mine before i baked them, it really added some nice flavor-so just a suggestion! This is my second time making then within 2 days.

I gave this a ONE MITT BECAUSE THEY MADE ME GIVE IT AT LEAST ONE! I actually signed up to this site JUST to express my distaste with these brownies... These are the WORST tasting brownies I have EVER had... I followed the recipe PERFECTLY and they turned out VERY dry and bitter... I emptied the pan on the ground shortly after spitting my first bite in the garbage and even the wild animals haven't eaten them... and that was 5 hours ago! PLEASE DON'T WASTE GOOD INGREDIENTS ON THESE BROWNIES!!!!!!!

I am American but I live in Australia, where a good brownie cannot be found. They're like eating a piece of really bad chocolate cake. I used to import brownie mix, but it costs an arm and a leg to do that. After finding this recipe, I won't be importing brownies again! These were just wonderful. I am incredibly picky about brownies, but these were just what I was after. I will be using this recipe from now on! Thanks so much!

these were pretty good as far as texture. i think i left them in just a smidge too long. they might have been perfect. i did double the recipe in a 9x13 pan (i baked them for 40 min. i think 35 min. would have been perfect.) they were a lot thicker than i thought they would be & i was worried they would be all dry, but they were still moist. i think next time i will add just a little bit more cocoa powder (probably just a couple tablespoons) but anyway, really close to a the boxed kind. yummy!

This were great and definitely fulfilled my chocolate craving without requiring me to drive all the way to the store to get any fancy ingredients - I had everything in the pantry! I like them best cold with added chocolate chips. YUM.

An important note - I used gluten-free flour (without adding xantham gum) in place of the all-purpose flour, and it worked great!

These brownies definitely get two thumbs up for being really easy to make. But I like my brownies to be a little fudgier, and I didn't find the chocolate flavor to be as compelling as I'd hoped it would be. (Admittedly, this may be because I didn't use the recommended cocoa powder; I just used Trader Joe's.)

If I need brownies in a pinch, I'll certainly think of this recipe, but otherwise I'd probably make something else that's a little more decadent and fudgy.

I've tried making homemade brownies before, but they always disappointed me. But these - THESE!! are the ones! So moist, chewy, and just perfect. I'll never buy brownie mix again.
