It took over 30 minutes to thicken. I did add mashed bananas right before putting in the fridge. Very smooth and creamy!

Such great vanilla flavor! I did leave the bean in the custard as it cooled, just to give it some more vanilla. I removed it before I put it in my kitchen aide ice cream bowl.
