Somewhere in the past, I knew this dessert as moon pie! It was baked in a really large splatter-ware circle pan. I am making this for Sunday dinner, but I got inspired to make ahead homemade chocolate pie filling instead of this yummy sounding filling. Thanks for the tip, flemel2001!

This is definitely a family favorite! I recommend not drizzling the chocolate syrup until you're ready to serve. I would also advise drizzling the chocolate over individual pieces instead of over the top of the entire 9x13 pan (unless you know that the whole pan will be consumed that day). I find that it doesn't look as appealing if it's refrigerated as leftovers with the syrup already on.

This is a family favorite. I've found that it's best to add the milk to the cream cheese/pudding mix a little at a time, so it stays lump free.

I've tried other pudding flavors as well as sugar free pudding and all were great.

I don't like chocolate syrup very much so usually leave it off or grate some milk chocolate on top.
