I made these last night and they were delicious! Perfect for dessert, and I also took them to work this morning and everyone loved them as a morning snack.

I made a few changes: I used whole wheat flour instead of white and Brummel & Brown's yogurt butter instead of butter. I also added a tablespoon of flaxseed to give it a little extra goodness, and used chocolate chips and dried cranberries! I cut the recipe in half and cooked it in an 8x8 pan for 20 minutes. Delish!!!

Hey Shari! I'm so glad you liked the cherry/chocolate combo! It's definitely one of my favorites. I also love your idea of skipping the cinnamon and adding mint chocolate chips - that sounds so good! I can't wait to try it!

These bars are so easy and so good! I used whole wheat flour instead of the white and they were spectacular! I added chocolate chips and dried cherries this time. Next time I might just skip the cinnamon and only add some mint chocolate chips. How good does that sound? And then the next time......probably dried fruit and nuts. The possible 'add-ins' are truly endless! Oh yeah, and maybe some coconut too! : )
