Tres Leches is one of my favorites...but adding the coconut creme in there made it to die for. My entire family just loves this cake. This is definitely a keeper!

I made this cake for a 4th of July party and it was a winner! This recipe is simple to make. I love that it is made in advance and tastes better after having rested in the refrigerator. The sliced banana and toasted coconut should not be skipped. They add special deliciousness to this dessert.
Guests at the party raved that this was the best cake ever! There were no left overs here!

I too had a problem with the cake being too soggy. I will definitely make it again but will decrease the amount of liquid. After I made it, I remembered that my mom used to make one with a white cake mix and used only the cream of coconut and it was very good.

I made a 13x9 yellow cake as directed. I greased all sides of the pan - per the recipe - despite the cake box directions to grease bottom only. I think this was why my cake did not rise as high as usual.

When it came time to add the syrup I only added 3/4 of the blender because it seemed like way too much liquid and I was afraid of a soggy cake.

In the end, the cake tasted good and top half was not overly saturated. However the bottom half was cake mush, soggy and unappealing, with liquid pooled around the bottom - even after refrigeration overnight.
