The first time I made them, I didn’t have mini chocolate chips so I used regular ones. I didn’t like those as well. Some of them I sprinkled with salt and some I didn’t. They’re good either way. I have made them without refrigerating them (hello, no patience!), and it worked out fine. I just adjusted the cooking time a bit. I think these would be superb with a little vanilla ice cream while they’re still piping hot!
