Not so! Very easy, came together quickly and are delicious. I love the cakes; I will use this recipe for other soft, cake-like chocolate cookies. I don’t recommend trying to sub. butter for shortening, especially in the filling. I did and the filling is good and buttery, but traditional gob filling doesn’t have that buttercream taste. Next time I’ll be sure to use Crisco!
