Best ever! I dipped mine halfway in the chocolate instead of making sandwiches and brought them to a fundraiser; they sold for a ridiculous amount which was nice, but I was really glad that I had more at home. The best thing, besides their deliciousness, is that they are little so you (um, I) can eat twelve or so and not feel that bad about it...

i made these the other day, but i altered the recipe a bit...so i don't think it'd be right of me to rate it! however, they turned out simply amazing, and i must thank you for the inspiration, yolandau) here are my modifications:

2/3 C almonds instead of 1 C hazelnuts (all i had!)
+1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla
+1/4 tsp baking powder

after chilling for 30 min, i flattened them slightly with the bottom of a glass, and i baked them right away (no more chilling) at 300 F for about 15 min. the cookies are very crunchy and oh-so delicious!! i made some into sandwiches using melted chocolate chips but left the rest plain because i like them both ways. i will for sure be making these again! perhaps with pecans and and crushed pretzels with white chocolate filling next time. thanks again!
