I have to confess, I didn’t follow the recipe exactly because I didn’t have any espresso powder. I searched high and low and couldn’t even come up with any instant coffee in the house. I was so looking forward to trying that — I can only imagine how awesome they would have been! To help make up for the disappointment I decided to add walnuts and they turned out great!

I did add a tablespoon of espresso powder instead of a teaspoon, as my hubby is a devoted fan of it. Will definitely make again, much more interesting than regular chocolate chip cookies.
