These were simply delicious. The cake is moist, tart, and fluffy and the caramel buttercream is just yummy. My frosting was also too thick to frost the cupcakes so I added more heavy cream. Next time I’ll just use less confectioner’s sugar. I can’t wait to make them again!

Made these last night and the reviews from my family and coworkers, although muffled because they have their mouth fulls, and in between groans of delight, are “TWO THUMBS UP”. They smell and taste just like a caramel apple. My frosting turned out really really thick (I may have miscounted when adding in the powdered sugar and added too much, I’m blonde it’s hard to say) so I added extra butter and it was perfection.

Precious! I am helping a friend this weekend with a Fall festival and she asked me to bake some goodies. I have a bushel of granny smith apples so this will be perfect to take! Thanks so much. Can’t wait to make them!
