Way too sweet. Way too dense. Very one dimensional flavour. The topping was great though. Would have been better on a cake that wasn’t so sweet. I’m just hoping this sugar stomach ache goes away soon.

I did add 1 tsp of baking soda (compared a couple of similar recipes). Also subbed 1/2 cup applesauce for 1/2 cup oil–this was wonderful!!
