		<description><![CDATA[I know they have some stores - there is one in downtown Birmingham, and one in the Pointes, I think, but they aren&#039;t owned by the Sanders family like they were for more than 100 years.  Stroh&#039;s ice cream also is making and selling some of the Sander&#039;s ice creams too.  Anyway, I didn&#039;t want to get into all of that for folks who never heard of them!

 We used to have a store near my office in Madison Heights in the 1970&#039;s, and we would go there for lunch - usually a tuna sandwich, and a hot fudge cream puff for dessert!

I drive by the Birmingham store frequently, and have been meaning to stop.

Of course, the hot fudge topping is my favorite, and my mother loved their butterscotch topping.]]></description>
