Stroh’s ice cream also is making and selling some of the Sander’s ice creams too. Anyway, I didn’t want to get into all of that for folks who never heard of them!

We used to have a store near my office in Madison Heights in the 1970’s, and we would go there for lunch – usually a tuna sandwich, and a hot fudge cream puff for dessert!

I drive by the Birmingham store frequently, and have been meaning to stop.

Of course, the hot fudge topping is my favorite, and my mother loved their butterscotch topping.

They have been making a great come back in Michigan since 2002 when Morley Candy purchased them. http://www.sanderscandy.com A new Sanders store in Novi, MI just opened and I know there are at least 7 others.
