Actually, there's something better than Splenda when it comes to powdered sugar for frosting. Splenda and other substitutes will not work this recipe nor any buttercream in fact. But there is one!! Ideal Confectionery is a low-calorie, sugar substitute that actually is in powdered sugar form. It feels like it, tastes like it and oh soo-omg! Are they for real! YUP! I found them at my local grocery store but stopped carry them even though I bought a butt load of their products because it was cheap, better than any sub-I love their brown sugar brand-no sugar in it actually and it tastes just like it!! And what's even better about the product that makes you feel good-99% is natural sweetner!! HEAVEN!! Now, I sparingly use my products but you can get their line off of Amazon or visit idealsweet.com!! I have made buttercream frosting with this and truly awesome! Its a dream come true for any diabetic and anyone who is watching their weight! HTH!
