My husband and I have been on a search for a rich, truely chocolate cookie...and we found the perfect chocolate cookie when we made this recipe.

These are quite possibly the easiest made-from-scratch cookies that your mixing bowl has ever produced!

mrsthor:

I've never had that problem, the dough is a little trickier to scoop than a typical cookie dough but it should be managable. I've never had them stick to parchment though. Did you refrigerate the dough?

These are amazing! I was looking for a cookie recipe that the cookie its self was chocolate and these were perfect! I added some mint chocolate chips and a couple more semi sweets once the dough was ready for chilling, and they were a huge hit! I will definitely be making these again and again and again!

do you have any recommendations for how to make the dough more scoopable? i was just about pulling my hair out with these! scoops and spoons gunked up immediately, so i tried rolling balls and that was a whole new level of messy! they also stuck to the parchment paper at the end of baking. i was surprised, and kept re-reading the recipe to make sure i didn't leave something out!

they TASTE amazing, they just looked nothing like yours and were hard to manipulate. i want to try them again... but not without a strategy!

These are good but not as decadent/chocolatey/dense like a brownie as I was expecting. Making ice cream sandwhiches with them sounds good though!

Just made these and they are better than Central Market's version. I did put in marshmellows as Peypey suggested, but all they did was make big holes in the cookies and make a gooey mess. I'll stick to the basic recipe next time. These will become my new go to cookie.

These were fantastic! Easy to make as well. I found the "dough" quite sticky and the last few balls a little hard to scrape out of the bowl, but SO worth it.
I doubled the recipe, made up some icing and made these into homemade Oreo cookies. A huge hit in my family.
