The egg rolls were tough to chew and generally not very appetizing. I recognize that this may just be a product of the wrappers I used. I like the idea, so it&#039;s one I&#039;ll play around with in the future. While I like the idea of oven-baking them, I think they&#039;d get a more delicious crispness if they were fried instead. In fact, my egg roll wrappers had a recipe for apple pie egg rolls which calls for frying so I may try that next time.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[These were a pretty good hit at my latest Christmas party. One thing that&#039;s important to make this recipe successful is to get egg roll wrappers that are not coated heavily in flour. I just grabbed a package at the store not realizing this mattered. I think the extra coating of flour caused them not to bake well and kept the egg roll from getting done.  I didn&#039;t like the taste of this particular egg roll wrapper (Melissa brand).

Then I doubled the filling thinking I&#039;d double the amount, but I guess my apples were smaller because I was only able to do 15 rolls even following the 2Tbs of filling each.

If you know these two things, I think you can make these more successfully than I did the first round. And your guests will thank you.]]></description>
