I was excited because it’s an all butter crust. It is VERY buttery; so much in fact that I had to put a drip tray under it as it baked to catch the butter drippings. The filling is amazing. I used gala apples instead and only used 1/4 cup of sugar in the filling since gala apples are so sweet on their own. I also left out the cloves. The buttery crust is so tasty with the filling. I had to exercise some serious self control not to eat half of it myself.
