Three of four of us loved it. My one son doesn’t like nuts so I didn’t expect he would like it. My husband and I thought the caramel sauce, while good, was too sweet for our tastes and the cake didn’t need it. My other son (age 8) loved, loved, loved the cake with lots of caramel sauce. He also would eat the sauce by the spoonful.

The cake was really moist. I had trouble getting it done because I used too small a pan.

I’m going to make another soon to take over to our neighbor’s who is dealing with a sick parent and needs to be coddled a bit.
