The dough is really sticky– really really sticky. And the smaller, drier circles you make, the better they fry up. Actually, we made semi-circles– which came out looking like cute little apple slices.

This recipe looks very similar to the recipe Deb posted on smittenkitchen, from Heart in New York. I think the spice quantities are doubled in this one though.
