Really easy to make. I tested one out last night and the pie was delicious. I would recommend really packing in the apples - I found my jars were a little low on apples and high on syrup. I will be giving these out at Christmas!

Super easy recipe to follow with great results. This will be going in my Christmas gift baskets again this year. My only modification to the recipe is I replace the cornstarch with Clear Jel (the cooking type). It won't separate during storage if you use Clear Jel. Thanks so much for taking the time to post the recipe. It's great!

I would assume in reading this that you are correct, momtooo...If the apples are being used for pies or crisps, they would be cooked then. I hope I'm right!

My question is do you even cook the apples. It looks as though you just place the uncooked apples in the jar and then ad the liquid ingredients. Correct? Thanks.
