This recipe sure did not disappoint me. They actually do taste like truck stop pancakes. I will never buy box pancake mix where you add egg and oil / water ever again. They don’t have a buttermilk taste at all like these do. I took all my leftover pancakes and froze them. They taste the same as when I had them fresh off the griddle. Will never buy the pre-made frozen ones again. They you buy don’t have the buttermilk taste either. Making these from scratch is worth all the time spent on them! I LOVE these pancakes!

I love this recipe! I was not disappointed! I followed the recipe to a T and mine turned out perfect! They turned out just the way I like them.

Best buttermilk pancakes I’ve ever made. I did not add any of the extra milk, and I love how thick they turned out. Just the way I like them!

When I’m craving ‘those’ pancakes…this is it, but better. I never keep buttermilk around so I just use 2 cups skim milk plus 2 TBSP vinegar and let it sit for awhile while the egg whites are whipping up in the stand mixer.

I found these to be very eggy… disappointing! They are light and almost spongy, good but not enough to make them again. They aren’t as good as ivoryhut’s recipe for banana pancakes either.

For me, my pancakes turned out thin and crispy. I think I may have added too much milk. The recipe would make a good starter for add-on pancakes (fruit, nuts, chocolate chips), but for me, they’re not that good on their own. I will stick to Clarkitect’s awesome (White) Chocolate Pancakes from now on.
