We loved these, they were some of the best pancakes ever, but I don’t ever have extra large eggs, so I used a little yogurt and added sugar too. We like our pancakes with a little sweetener.

I had very high hopes for these pancakes because of the great reviews. These just didn’t work for us. Because of the butter in the batter, they burned very easily before the middle was ready. So I turned the heat down to low but they still turned very dark on the outside. And the taste with the malted milk just was not enjoyable for us. It didn’t really taste like an authentic diner pancake and it was a lot of work and I think Bisquick tastes better to be honest.

These pancakes were fantastic, and truly diner-worthy. Moist, light, and fluffy- did not make me feel like I had eaten a brick. I did, however, add way more milk to reach the consistency I like- probably an additional cup or so. I like mine thin. Thank you so so so very much for sharing this recipe!! I honestly think I’ll use this for the rest of my life.

Excellent! Had to double the recipe for my family of six, but it’s a keeper.
