These were ok! I agree with some other reviewers that they could use some more flavor (although I used all vanilla instead of using maple extract, but I can’t imagine that a half teaspoon would make that much of a difference) and they were a little dry and tough compared to regular French toast since the batter doesn’t soak into the bread. My husband and I would rather have French toast or pancakes separately. Still, we enjoyed our breakfast! Thank you for the fun idea!

I may have overcooked them a tad, but they were good. It’s hard not to like French toast inside of a pancake!

Yum! The entire family LOVED These! Seriously THE BEST FRENCH TOAST we’ve ever had I’ve been dreaming of this french toast since having to go gluten free I’m hoping that I’ll be able to create something similar using gluten free flour. If anyone has suggestions please let me know!

We liked these at our house, except there wasn’t much flavor. If I try them again, I will add someting more to the batter.

I made these a couple weeks ago and they were good, but not really my thing. I prefer regular french toast. I think the problem was that the pancake mixture coats the bread instead of really soaking into it like a normal eggy french toast mixture. I found these a bit dry for my taste.

This is a great recipe! I don’t really like french toast because there is so much egg involved, but this is just right….and the kiddos love it too! Thanks!

These were so good! Definitely a “hybrid between pancakes and french toast”, like marta wrote. Much denser than pancakes or french toast, though, so you probably won’t be able to eat as many as you thought! I had to lower my heat to Medium because the toast was cooking too quickly. I also added more oil to the pan every-other piece to keep the pan oiled.
