Delicious! I made it as written and it was wonderful, almost dessert like. Just had it with milk. Next time I will probably reduce the amount of butter as others have and probably leave out some of the sugar. Made it with bartlett pears. Might try it with canned peaches next time.

This was awesome. I used apples on the bottom and it turned out amazing. It kept pretty well in the fridge afterwards as well(easily reheated in the microwave).

This was SO delicious! I only had half & half on hand (no milk) but the end result still turned out pretty perfect. Also, I subbed honey for the maple syrup (just not a maple fan). Will definitely be putting this in heavy rotation!

Sooooo delicious. I made it for my family tonight and can't wait to make it again for a broader audience. Love the versatility and look forward to switching up the sweetness level, the type of fruit and the accompanying nuts. Thanks so much for this one!

Yum! Used brown sugar and made it dairy free by using soy milk and margarine. I used apples and raisins for my fruit and it turned out delicious! Instead of almonds, I used walnuts and I also sprinked cinnamon on the top.

I made this with apples and used brown sugar instead of the demerara (which I didn’t have). I also reduced the butter to 1/2 c instead of 3/4 c, as another reviewer suggested. I found that it was still a bit too rich for my taste and also too sweet. If I make again, I will likely reduce the maple syrup (using a little bit more milk, if needed, for moisture) and reduce the brown sugar. The almonds on top, however, were wonderful. Don't leave them out!
