Excellent! I especially appreciate that it isn't soaked in butter and heavy cream. This lighter version is perfect and very tasty. A touch of maple syrup is all it needs.

Easy, quick, and made the house smell nice. But it is rather bland--like a mix between french toast and bread pudding without being as good as either one is on its own. I did let it soak overnight, and it was still bland, so I would strongly suggest against not doing the soaking (I suspect it would have less flavor still).

Easy, quick recipe. Fired it up on a Sunday night with a fresh extra loaf of homemade French bread. Threw it in the oven Monday morning and was ready for the kids to devour when they got up. Thanks for this one.

This was amazing. I used Maple Syrup for the topping, as it's impossible to get agave nectar here in Australia, but it was so delicious with the syrup.

I'm definitely starting a new Easter breakfast tradition with this!
