My grandfather who is also from Alabama used to make it & our entire family would gather for this dish -it’s that amazing. I do think his chocolate gravy had flour in it though (as a thickening agent) -darn I wish I still had our recipe. I will definitely try your’s & maybe tinker around with it. Thanks for bringing back such wonderful memories. To anyone who’s never had Chocolate gravy & biscuits -it’s a MUST try!! just for the weird factor alone.
