It is very rich, so you should prepare yourself for that! The filling did make the bread a little soggy, so be sure to eat it as soon as you make it. And the suggestion to cut the pieces into 1/4ths is very smart. I used blackberry Simply Fruit, and whipped cream cheese. My husband said it tastes like a toaster struedel (which is high praise, I guess) :) Thanks for this recipe!

I did one half of the sandwich on my george foreman, and the other half in a skillet. The grill works in a pinch, but the skillet gave it that french toast crust! Very delicious, thank you!
