We made these again tonight (I think my husband likes our little yellow donut machine more than I do!) and added about 1/3 cup of shredded coconut and 3/4 t. coconut extract. Spectacular! This is an excellent base recipe for all kinds of creativity. Thanks!

Yummy donuts! I got a donut machine for Christmas yesterday and wanted to try it out this morning. The powdered sugar donut holes from Dunkin Donuts are my husband's favorite, so he picked out this recipe for the white cake donuts and away we went. Delicious and wonderful, the nutmeg gives them a bakery donut element, and they are good coated in the powdered sugar. Thanks for a really fun and successful maiden voyage with our new donut iron.
