I was a little worried because the batter seemed so thick comapred to other waffle batters but my waffles came out perfectly. It really is like eating banana bread. My daughter who is 7 tried one plain, one with butter and one with syrup. Her favorite? All three! I liked my plain (as I like my banana bread plain).

I also added 1/2 cup pecans to the last half of the batter and that was tasty too. I am thinking next time I’ll add pecans and chocolate chips.
