This was great! At first the dough seemed rather dry, but after the first rise it was just fine. The end result is not too soft and not too cracker-like — a great texture. I used thinly sliced havarti instead of cheddar (because it’s what I had). I’ll make it again!

Ohhhh man. This was so good and SO EASY! The dough came together very quickly, was a joy to work with, and the bread was AMAZING. Seriously–don’t be daunted by the length of the instructions. They’re useful tips, but not an indicator of the difficulty or complexity of the recipe.

And trust me…you won’t be sorry when you taste the end result!

(FYI: I halved the recipe and it worked perfectly)
