I’ve been making it for years and it’s my favorite. I usually sub in some white whole wheat flour and I always leave out the melted butter, and the 9″ pan makes it slightly shorter and crustier which I love. Everyone who tries it is amazed at how moist and delicious it is. Next time I make it I’m going to try using a little cake flour to see if it makes it even softer and poofier.
