I love this cornbread. It really is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Perfectly tender and soaks up load of butter....a real favorite in our house!

This is terrific cornbread. I've been making it for years and it's my favorite. I usually sub in some white whole wheat flour and I always leave out the melted butter, and the 9" pan makes it slightly shorter and crustier which I love. Everyone who tries it is amazed at how moist and delicious it is. Next time I make it I'm going to try using a little cake flour to see if it makes it even softer and poofier.
