My husband ONLY eats Jiffy cornbread and homemade is never sweet enough for him. This recipe definitely gave Jiffy a run for it’s money and beat it by a landslide! He absolutely loved it and has been taking leftovers to work everyday. Thank you!

I made this corn bread & it was wonderful! But, even better was when my Mom & Dad ate some the next day & Mom asked me for the recipe!!! My Mom is the best cook I know & I never thought she’d like ‘my’ cornbread more than her own. Thrilled doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt. Thank you!

I have been making this for years but with buttermilk. Also good if you add some diced chili and sharp cheddar cheese.

Thanks for this great recipe, I have my son in laws homemade chili on the stove and whipped this corn bread recipe together, but will have to see, I got all the way to the bottom and noticed that I didn’t have any creamed corn so left it out.
