I made some changes. We used finely ground whole white wheat, buttermilk, and added 1/2 Tbsp orange extract to the dough. We did the second rising in the fridge, and baked it in a glass 9×13 pan. We also used a glaze from another recipe: 3oz cream cheese, 1/4c butter, a 1 1/2 c powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp almond extract, dash salt, juice from half an orange. I’m convinced these would have been great without the glaze. We enjoyed every bite!

What a great recipe. Amazing flavor that orange peel/zest is. Over the holidays I used a grate of orange zest in things like eggnog, over topping of desserts. I also use it in a scones recipe instead of lemon zest. Lightens up the dish!!
