I ran out of sugar and so I didn’t do the syrup part, but I did use the glaze. My oranges were gigantic and I only used the zest of 2 for the recipe. It was so tasty! Great texture, just the right amount of moistness.

The loaves stay low but the texture is beautiful. The bread has a very strong orange flavor and the glaze accents it very well.

I don’t want to be morbid, but this is actually the very last recipe I made for my grandfather before he passed away last month. He really didn’t have much of an appetite at the end, but he really enjoyed this cake with a bowl of fresh berries. I just wanted to say an extra big thank you for sharing this recipe. It created a happy moment for us!
